This August 26th, Cherished Pets is celebrating National Dog Day by donating ALL of our takings to Waggy Tails Dog rescue. Our team will be here from 10am – 4pm on Sunday August 26th ready to wash, groom and pamper your Dog. Our groomers, grooming assistants, and our receptionist are all donating their time freely on the day so every penny we make will go directly to Waggy Tails to help them to continue their amazing work.
Waggy Tails helps to re-home rescue Dogs in Poole, Bournemouth and surrounding areas. They have a no destruction policy which ensures that every healthy animal is re-homed or looked after in a long-term foster home.
But caring for Dogs who are old or receiving treatment for medical conditions can be quite expensive in terms of vets bills and Waggy Tails rely on sponsorships and donations to help them continue with their work.
As well as being our best friends and part of our families, Dogs help us in many, many other ways. From companionship and therapy Dogs to guide dogs, dogs who help to find lost and missing people, dogs who assist disabled people and dogs who assist our law enforcement and even help to sniff out explosives in the midst of conflicts. Some dogs are now even helping doctors to detect cancer due to their super-sensitive smelling skills.
So National Dog day is a great day to give something back and we can not think of a better way than helping a local charity which helps dogs when they need it most.
Please help us to make as much as possible for Waggy Tails on Sunday, August 26th by booking a wash and brush/tidy or a full groom for your Dog.
As part of every grooming session, we will also clip your Dog’s nails, clean their ears and also carry out a basic health check to look for any obvious problems with your dog’s eyes, ears, skin, paws, and bones.

A massive thank you to everyone that supported our Charity Groom for Waggy Tails Rescue on National Dog Day. The rain came but didn’t stop us! Everyone had an amazing day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Thank you for all the likes and shares on Facebook, thank you to our lovely clients that brought their dogs to be groomed and thank you to our fantastic girls who volunteered their time – because of all of you we were able to raise an impressive £575! Woohoo!
